Spectrum Bay News 9 App Reviews

No change since my first review. Would rather poke my eye with a sharp stick than use this app. Obtrusive ads plus no landscape support plus horrible scaling in portrait mode equals one poor app. Dont bother until a professionally designed app is released.

Hate the app. But I love Bay News 9, or at least I did. I periodically check bay news 9 for tropic updates, beach forecast etc... The FULL SITE is extremely informative. But this morning I noticed that I can no longer access the full site, just the "mobile" site. Which by the way, is awful. Its missing so much information. Literally contains just the radar. Guess Im done with bay news 9!

Since I can no longer get the web page to load on my iPad Pro (it keeps refreshing over and over but nothing every shows up-going on for days now) I downloaded the app. Even worse! A huge circle with an arrow is over my zip code and I cant zoom in to see the rain . What the heck has happened. Used to be my go to for weather and breaking news. Please fix

Thank you for creating such an informative and useful mobile app. It is my go to for all my news,weather, and traffic info. The "what to do" feature is an awesome touch for people new to area like me,not to mention the weather alert system feature. Great work and you have a fan over here Bay News 9! Thank you

I love the live weather maps

Will not load, just get spinning timer. No maps, no forecast. I even deleted it and tried reinstalling. Nothing.

Cant enlarge text. Better to use online site with iPhone , as at least you can activate reader.

Tried it and soon removed it. Sucked the life out of my battery on iPhone 6. There are better apps out there.

You should be able to type in you location manually. Also news is not formatted for iPhone

Never finds my current location. I just get the spinning wheel of death. Location services arrow stays on all of the time after opening app. As much as Baynew 9 has promoted this app, you would think they would have read all of these comments and put a fix update out.

This is not a mobile app for phones, it is an app icon that opens the entire Bay News 9 web page and forces your bandwidth to attempt to load everything they think is relevant instead of just giving you the news stories like the old version. The stories are printed so small, good luck reading any of them on your iPhone. Yes you can zoom but then you are going to be scrolling left and right the entire time. Stick with the Fox 13 or ABC Action News app.

It never wants to work and freezes forcing me to exit via the home button.

Horrible not user friendly . Worst app ever!

The previous app was fine. This app is just a middleman that opens the article you select on their main webpage. Not fun for a mobile device. What started out as a nice news app has evolved into a horribly executed, bandwidth & battery sucking nightmare. Deleting immediately.

If they wanted to be a weather app, say so. This app is really bad. Made worse by lackluster content.

It has been repaired

I liked the app for the weather and traffic updates. However this last update causes the app to crash every time I try to open it. Forget trying to find app support, it seems the link is to the support page for everything other than this app!

Use this app all the time...the most reliable.

The app does the local weather good, but iPhone app video links throw you over to Safari and the stations web site, where you hit the warning that you need Adobe Flash to view video. Heres a news flash, Bay News 9: Apples mobile system software doesnt do Flash!
